Crows are often considered symbolic of the spiritual aspect of death and the transition to the afterlife.
In Japanese mythology, Yatagarasu (Jungle Crow) represents divine intervention in human affairs. The Japanese Football Association uses the symbol of Yatagarasu in its current emblem.
