Chickens are the most domesticated animals in the world and there are more chickens in the world than any other bird. In 2003, it was estimated that there was an increible 24 billion chickens!

Chickens are kept as domesticated animals because we love to to eat chicken and eggs... well, not sure about you, but I love chicken... and eggs!
