Bees are those wonderful honey-producing insects that many of us love for their honey but run from their stings! There are over 20,000 known species of bees and they can be found on all continents, except for Antartica.
The bumble bee is a relative of the bee. While they are primarily found in the Northern hemisphere, they can also be found in Tasmania (Australia) and New Zealand.

All Sorts of Bears
If you think of bears, what comes to mind? Panda bears, polar bears. brown bears or teddy bears? Perhaps you even thought of a koala bear?
Panda's are one of the most popular bears around the world, although only found in the wild in China. Over recent decades, panda bears have become popular attractions on zoos all over the world. These zoos are paying a major role in trying to increase the panda population.
The polar bear is one of the world's largest bears and lives within the Artic circle. There is a popular story that polar bears cover their noses with their paws when hunting so their black noses cannot be seen in the white of the snow. This was related by early Artic explorers and through native oral histories, however there is no recent evidence that this actually occurs.
Teddy Bears symbolise our love of bears and our desire to see all bears as cute and cuddly.
